Víctor Falguera holds a PhD in Agricultural and Food Science and Technology from the University of Lleida and a PhD in Engineering and Advanced Technologies from the University of Barcelona. Founding partner of the consultancy firm AKIS International and of the start-ups E-STRATOS Geosystems and Inaptek Automation. He is an associate professor at the University of Lleida and a member of the board of directors of the Official College of Agricultural Engineers of Catalonia, where he is part of the Working Group on Agriculture 4.0. He is a specialist in multivariate analysis, innovation management for territorial development and agri-food technology, fields in which he has published around fifty scientific articles in indexed media. He is also a certified programmer of home automation installations in the KNX standard. He has been awarded twice with the National Award for Excellence in University Academic Performance (in the categories of Technical Agricultural Engineer -2006- and Agricultural Engineer -2008-), and with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award of the University of Lleida (2012). He has been Councillor for Education (2011-2013) and Mayor (2013-2018) of Albatàrrec (Lleida).
